ABOUT FINEDU
Financial literacy belongsin everyone's hands.
We're building the platform that gives every student, educator, and professional the tools to take control of their financial future — no matter their background.
OUR MISSION
Bridging the financial literacy gap — one lesson at a time.
Millions of Americans enter adulthood without ever learning how to budget, manage debt, or invest. It’s not a lack of intelligence — it’s a lack of access. Financial education has historically been uneven, optional, and difficult to engage with.
FinEdu exists to change that. We combine interactive lessons, real-world tools, and gamified learning to make personal finance simple, approachable, and genuinely useful — for students in classrooms, employees in the workplace, and anyone who’s ready to take the next step.
Our goal isn’t to overwhelm people with information. It’s to give them the right knowledge, at the right time, in a format that actually sticks.

OUR STORY
From a Phoenix nonprofit to a platform for everyone.
- 1
2021 — PHOENIX, ARIZONA
Innovative Start is founded
Mikey Shores founded Innovative Start Organization — a nonprofit dedicated to educating students and young adults through interactive, immersive financial literacy presentations delivered directly in schools and community settings across the Phoenix area. The response was immediate: students were hungry for this knowledge, and the classroom was the right place to deliver it.

2023 — RECOGNIZING THE GAP
The access problem becomes clear
Through years of in-person programming, a recurring theme emerged: financial literacy reached only the students who happened to be in the right room at the right time. Geography, school budget, and scheduling were barriers that no in-person program could fully overcome. The knowledge existed. The will to learn was there. What was missing was a scalable way to reach everyone — not just the students lucky enough to get a presentation.

2024 — A NEW VISION
FinancialEdu Inc. is born
Mikey set out to build what didn’t yet exist: a financial literacy platform designed from the ground up to be accessible, engaging, and effective for every type of learner — students, working adults, employees, and communities. Built with the input of countless students and brought to life by Ishan Patel (CTO and Lead Developer), FinEdu launched as the digital extension of a mission that started in Phoenix classrooms.

TODAY — STILL GROWING
Expanding access across the country
FinEdu now serves students, educators, businesses, credit unions, and nonprofits with a growing library of interactive lessons, financial tools, and AI-powered guidance. The mission remains the same as it was in 2021: make financial literacy something every person can access, understand, and act on — regardless of where they live or what school they attended.
HOW WE WORK
The principles behind the platform.
Accessible by Design
Financial education shouldn’t require a degree, a wealthy zip code, or an expensive course. FinEdu is free to start — always — because the first step toward financial literacy shouldn’t have a price tag.
Learning That Sticks
We built FinEdu around how people actually learn: short lessons, real-world scenarios, immediate feedback, and gamified progress. Complex topics deserve clear explanations — not walls of text.
Proof Over Promise
We measure learning, not just completion. Baseline assessments, quiz scores, and post-course improvements show educators and institutions that the knowledge is actually transferring — not just the time.
Built With Learners
FinEdu was shaped by the students who needed it most. From the in-person sessions at Innovative Start to the beta users who tested early versions, real feedback from real people drives every product decision we make.
